Hardware Install Problem - No OS CD-ROM

I am trying to install a wireless card on this old computer running Windows 98. The computer states drivers need to be installed and then prompts me to install the Windows 98 CD-ROM. I have no idea where the disk is!

Is there anyway around this?

The only OS disk I have is a Windows ME reinstall disk I have from another Dell computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

If for some reason you're still running the Dell factory load and have never reinstalled, you may can direct it here:

C:\Windows\Options\Cabs

Hope that helps.

i dont know if this is only new dells but try it anyway (my thinkpad had nt4 and used a similar system so maybe your 98 dell will do the same)

hit control - f11 alot during bootup and theres an option to reinstall your OS from a hidden partition
