How can I test Sound Blaster Audigy HD Software Edition?

I have Inspiron 6400 and Windows Vista. I would like to test SB Audigy HD SE, but I can't find any program to test it. How can I do this?

Secondly does this software emulation really works, eg. all
of the Thief demo games report that I don't have EAX capable card.

P.S. I apologize if this question has been already answered, but because this forum works so slow I couldn't search it.

My understanding is that Creative's Vista drivers do not support EAX.

From the notes for the Vista drivers download on Creative's site:

Applications from the original Sound Blaster Audigy CD will not work with this download.
Users are advised to use Audio Console included in this download to change speaker configurations.
This driver does not support the following:
Decoding of Dolby® Digital and DTS™ signals
DVD-Audio
DirectSound®-based EAX games
Gameports
6.1 speaker mode.
SPDIF passthrough is supported on Vista 32-bit only.

The Audigy HD Software is just that, a software enhancement to the integrated audio systems.  It is not a separate sound card and is not something supported by updates on the SoundBlaster site.

Since it appears you are having a gaming problem, repost on the gaming section of the forum, maybe someone there has some suggestions.

Firebird,

Thank you for stepping in to correct my misunderstanding.

JR, not trying to step on anyone's toes.  But there seems to be a lot of confusion with the Audigy Advanced MB software enhancement.

Not stepping on toes, I was sincerely thanking you. I'm always grateful when people correct my mistakes, I learn a lot that way.

Perhaps I should have added a smiley :-)
