As noted on the page you were linked to, the copy of WordPerfect Office is
fully functional which means it does not require activation. Only trial versions (downloadable) of WP Office require activation. Do you receive any error message when you try to open WP Office?
I don't know whether you will be able to get any assistance but the following is from the Corel Support site: "Should you require any additional help with the installation of you product, please call Corel Customer Service toll free at 1-800-772-6735 and a representative will assist you."
I don't get any error messages popping up. When I try to open Word Perfect, the arrow changes to an hour glass like it is attempting to open. Then the hour glass disappears, the arrow reappears, and either absolutely nothing happens or a weird "dou" (LOL) sound is made, and then that's it.
I just have no idea what to do, and I feel like I can't find any help. I've tried the Corel support page and it just said that I'm "not eligible" (I guess) for tech support. When I ordered my laptop, I selected to have one year of service and technical support. I've checked the forums at the Corel site, but none of them said anything about WordPerfect just completely not working.
I don't know if I need a replacement disc or what??? Thanx again for the phone number. I'll try using it, but if you have any other suggestions, please feel free to run them by me. :smileywink:
You should look for the Word Perfect disk you got with the computer and reinstall it. If you didn't get any disk, you probably have the trial version. I suggest you buy MS Office or Works Suite with Word instead, depending on your needs. If you qualify for Student-teacher version of Office, that would be an inexpensive choice.
