How do I go about purchasing a recovery disk(s)?

I live in the UK and the recovery partition on my Dimension 3000 seems to be corrupted. I cannot access it by using Ctrl+F11 at boot up.

Is there a link for ordering recovery disks in the UK?

Thanks

Thanks but that link refers to the Request Backup Disks form on the Dell website. I cannot see a link or reference to the form there.

I also followed the instructions to chat to online support but all it tells me is that I am out of warranty.

I have managed to get to the American and Canadian versions of the form by clicking links given in other posts but State and Province are required fields in these.

Have you or other forum members got a link to the UK version of the form?

Hi Smirnoff, The UK does not have an online form like the US. Your only option is to contact them via email, thus saving you a lot of money.

Thanks for the info Robin.

Unfortunately the e-mail solution didn't work.. I sent.an e-mail to tech support requesting a recovery disk and explaining that e-mailing seemed my only option to do this.

After two days I hadn't been contacted or received a reply.

I then sent a follow up e-mail quoting the reference number I had received when my first post was acknowledged but I still haven't been contacted.

Should I have sent the e-mail to sales instead? Do you know of any other method by which UK customers have been able to obtain a recovery disk?

Thanks again.

Your best bet is to phone them, therfore they will deal with you straightaway, Email can sometimes take a week before you get a reply (In my experience) Phone them on this number 0844 338 1888 (XPS Tech Support), that will be the fastest method.
