How to Remove Netware Client from XP Pro
About a week ago when I booted my PC it came up with the classic logon screen. When I went to change it to the "normal" welcome screen I received this message "Client Services for Netware has disabled the Welcome screen and fast user switching. To restore these features you must uninstall client services for netware." I have a Microsoft home network so I have no idea why netware would have been installed. I went to Network connections and looked at the properties for my LAN connection and found no listing for the netware client. So, I thought that maybe if I installed/uninstalled netware it would fix the problem. That didn't work and when I perform the uninstall it only hangs. After a reboot netware is no longer in the list but I'm still left with the classic logon screen and the same error when I try to change it. There is a CSNW icon in the control panel and I have looked through add/remove programs (it's not listed) and through the registry (after making a backup of course). It also will not let me remove anything from the Device Manager. I've searched the web in vain. Does anyone have an answer for me?

Thanks, Mombodog, but I have already been there. Even though Netware is not in the properties list XP still thinks it is installed. I have even tried editing the registry as per other web entries but no luck. As as matter of fact, I can't find some the keys they tell me to delete. This is really perplexing.
