How to move Outlook email to Windows Mail ?

Hi,

I need to move my Outlook 2003 email on a XP machine to Windows Mail on a new Dell Vista machine.

I exported the archive.pst and backup.pst files from Outlook to a flash disk but I can't seem to import them into Windows Mail.

Any suggestions on how to solve this is appreciated.

I believ the key is to leave the messages within the Outlook appilcation and not export them to another location.  Mine worked just fine.

Outlook 2003 is on the old pc running XP. My new Dell Vista machines does not have Outlook.

I wish to use Windows Mail as the email browser instead.

So, I *have to* transfer my email from the old to the new machine.

Any suggestions for transfer are appreciated.

In Outlook on Windows XP export the PST to Outlook Express then import those into Windows Mail.

Outlook Contacts will need to be exported as a Comma Separated Values text file for import into Windows Contacts
