How to reinstall win xp with out a disk
I have a Dell dimension 3000, My hard drive crash and I have to reinstall windows xp home
This computer came with windows allready install with out a xp home disk.
How do I format and reinstall windows ? ( have a cd rom but no disk )

you dont need a disk if you have a CD. Use that instead. IF you do not have a optical drive you will need to get either a internal or usb and set the drive order.

You do need a reinstallation disk to reinstall windows. Order it free from Dell Here.

If you look on the Certified Windows Sticker, that would be somewhere on your Computer - copy down the Product / Registration Key. Call Microsoft's Supplemental Support, and explain your situation, give them your numbers - they might be able to send you the missing media. I was able to do this with software that I lost, along with the key code -- all I had was the box that it came in. No problem - Microsoft sent me a full version of my lost software with a new key code. There might be an issue with it being an OEM, ( i.e. Dell ) but give it a try.

Microsoft won't talk to you with a PC Vendor OEM copy.
