O.K. Maybe I forgot to mention I do not want to reload everything, or loose what I have installed in Vista. I just want to remove XP. :smileysad:

Hi

Take the XP drive out connect the Vista drive to sata 0 boot the Vista DVD then where it says to install

select repair my computer it should repair the Vista boot loader then boot all the way to Vista then shut down your computer put the XP drive back in connect it to sata 1 and boot to Vista and format the XP drive if you want to !

Good Luck

Well that didn't work. I took out the C: (XP) and put it on the table. I changed position of the D: (Vista) drive to the spot where XP was and booted up with the Vista DVD. And hit repair start up. Then it rebooted, I took the DVD out and it didn't find the OS. So, now I think I will forget it. When I was putting both drives back in, the stupid ribbon popped out of it's holder and I had to put it back. Seeing how I am back here I guess I got it right. I think I don't want to do that again, I thought I broke it. I never seen just the ribbon come out before.

Thanks, but I decided to just keep XP anyway. I found if I just hit the start button and walk away the computer will wait so long for someone to make a choice, then it will make the choice for you and load directly into Vista anyway. :smileyhappy:
