I'd like to throw my computer
out the window!!!!!!! Please help. I tried to download Nortons 2006 internet security today. I have had so many errors trying to install it that I am about to strip the computer down to the way I got it and start all over agian. First off I am not too sure how to do that and second I am a little afraid of doing that. But what's the harm? I have XP on it and I'm not sure how old this dell is. Please any advice would help me sleep tonight.

If your computer was made after July 15, 2005 you can restore it to "as shipped" condition with the procedure here. The process is totally safe and quick speedy.

I'm having the same problem. I think it's Norton fighting with McAfee which was already pre-installed. I cannot uninstall mcafee so far, there is no uninstaller! and the info. on this board doesn't work so far. Called Dell tech support and they want to CHARGE me to walk me through uninstalling it. Told them to pound sand.
I got this computer YESTERDAY.
