IE 6 toolbar missing lock/unlock & customize feature
After removing ISEARCH from my XP Internet Explorer 6.0 SP 1 using Ad-Ware, and even during the time ISEARCH took over, my toolbar on IE6 no longer has an option in view / toolbar or right mouse click to lock or unlock or customize. It's stuck in lock mode and Std Buttons; Address Bar; Links; Norton Anti-Virus are all grayed out in 'ticked off' position. The only entry that is enabled is Text Labels. Re-installing IE6 SP1 didn't resolve issue.
I need help in re-establishing a lock/unlock feature please.

Did you happen to install Spybot Search and Destroy and use its immunize feature? If so, this is what is keeping you out. Open Spybot and remove the immunize feature, change what you want in Internet Explorer, then go back to spybot and re-enable the immunize feature.

Thanks for that tip; but immunize only restricts certain other features, not the one I need. I did as you said anyway and it did not work. I re-installed SP1 as well and still nothing. I'm concerned I may have deleted the information required in the registry.... so if you dare to email me an exported Internet Explorer reqistry file, I can import it into mine if you use XP... otherwise I'm open to other options except the re-install of XP........ not worth it at all.

I suspect I already know the answer, but when you reinstall OE you didn't do it using Add/Remove Programs did you? I'm betting that you used the procedure here.

I have found a site on the internet that solved this issue. It was ISearch that altered my registry.
