WinDEC32.dll is part of a spyware/parasite called I-Lookup.  To get rid of this and other spyware, download and install Ad-Aware and/or Spybot:

http://www.lavasoft.de/index.html Ad-Aware

http://security.kolla.de/  Spybot

After installing these programs, update them to the latest spyware definitions then run the programs and let them delete all spyware that they find.

Are you sure you have spelled the other two .dll filenames correctly?  I could find nothing on HPMWINMA.DLL, but I suspect it may have something to do with a Hewlett Packard installed device on your system.  Similarly, I could find nothing on PASAPI.DLL, although there a many hits on google.com for PSAPI.DLL.  .  They could be associated with spyware and AD-Aware or Spybot may fix these problems as well.  If not, check the spelling of these filenames and report back what you find.

Thanks for your advice.  I messed up on the other two file names  which should have been PSAPI. DLL and HPMWINA.DLL . I do have a HP printer attached to my system.

So, did getting rid of spyware solve all of the problems or does the problem with the HP device remain?

Steve:

I have just  finished installing and run Adware and Spybot S&D.  The two program has given me better control than before.  Thanks for the advice.

However the problems that I seems to be having to me maybe a windows problem.  When I restart my system I get the following error in the beginning:

"windows could not upgrade one or more files before starting"  windows may not start or run properly.  After pressing any key I get the message " A required   PSAPI. DLL was not found.

When try several Desktop shortcut or trying to print I get these type of error messages:

Explorer has caused error in WINDEC32.DLL

HPMWINWA. DLL comes up when trying to print from any program or email

Please advise

Go to the following site and follow all instructions for spyware removal.  You will eventually read about a program you can download called Hijackthis.  Run that program and copy the log file into a forum message on the Spyware Info web site and someone will help you get rid of anything that Spybot or Ad-Aware did not get rid of.
