Inspiron B130 XP dell drivers
It appears I have a problem.
I just reformatted my Laptop due to a backdoor trojan issue. This is probably the 3rd time that I have had to do this since 2006 when I purchased the computer.
So I have Windows XP installed, and came to the Dell website to download the drivers for my machine using the service tag. problem is, it comes up with a blank list, indicating that probably the drivers are no longer available?
What to do now? Throw the computer away? The reason for buying a Dell rather than a cheapo fly-by-night laptop was to avoid situations like this, to have support down the road when I need it.
Any ideas where I can get the drivers that I need?

Dell switched to a new Drivers and Downloads site last night. We have noticed several systems without downloads available. Several Rockstars have brought this to the attention of the Dell moderators, so hopefully this will be resolved soon. Hang tight :)

You need
Windows XP Service Pack 2 (might be included on you're XP disc)
Windows XP Service Pack 3
1. Dell Notebook Software (R120775)
2. Intel Chipset (R114079)
3. Intel Video (R128346)
4. Conexant (R90851 , R114200)
5. Broadcom (R108904, R150593)<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed / replaced from this post by Dell>
6. Audio (R171789)
7. Wifi - which you have
8. Touchpad (R120179)
9. Dell Quickset (R151309)
10. Dell Support Centre (latest version, better to get here and not under applications)
The direct links appear not to work.

Support site downtime is not common, but not unheard of. Just bad timing.
Whenever reinstalling an OS, the chipset should always be first. Not doing so can cause other subsequent drivers not to install and/or cause other devices not to work properly. On a Dell, you should install System Software (if available, as it is not required for all systems) before the chipset. If you have not installed the chipset drivers, you can always get them from Intel's website, although occasionally Dell drivers will be tweaked from the Intel version for stability and compatibility with other Dell hardware.
Go to Device Manager (right-click My Computer, Manage) to check for other "unknown" devices.

Boy, talk about being a day late and dollar short, that is my luck.
As it t urns out, I got the driver from cnet. I just happened to faintly remember that the wireless driver was Dell 1370, so I did a search and found it, at least I can access the net to get everything else updated. I am not sure what else I am missing though, but I am sure I will find out at the most inopportune time.
I will have to recheck Dell at a later date.

I got to his system, but it does indeed (like a few other models) show no downloads at all.

He will need to wait. I got as far as the list of laptops, but the B130 isn't on it. The closest match is the Inspiron 13. B130 is also called the Inspiron 1300. www.dell.com/.../19
