Install Screen Pop-Up
I am having a terrible problem with the Windows Installer Pop-Up screen wanting to install "Microsoft Office XP Standard" every time I attempt to go online or open email.
I can click the 'cancel' button 6-to-8 times in succession and get rid of it, but it always pops up when I try to go online or open my email program - and then it happens each time I try to open a new individual email message.
This problem started after I installed a spyware program called SpywareStormer. Uninstalling the spyware software did not help. I contacted their support email and they did not even attempt to help me. They simply said they would refund my purchase price and deactivate my activation code.
Can anyone help me find and eliminate the proper config file, .ini file, registry, or whatever file I need to edit or delete in order to get rid of this problem.
Many thanks,
Mike

Do you have a restore point which predates the installation of the spyware program? If so, see if using that corrects the problem. Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling Office?
