Install XP pro on computer

Organization acquired computer which is not name-brand but was put together.  There is no documentation or cd's with the computer. How difficult  would it be like to install purchased legal copy of Windows XP Pro on it? I has Windows XP Pro on it so I know it runs. I have been spoiled by Dell's wonderful support and have reinstalled Windows XP pro and Windows ME on Dell's that I have, but unfortunately don't have that luxury here.

How difficult would it be to install  on computer without any documentation?  I know that the boot sequence would have to be altered to boot from CD. Drivers would have to be located, etc.

Any information would be welcome. Thanks.

You already know the process, change the first boot device to be the CD ROM and delete the existing partition to go with a clean install.

To correctly identify your compmenets, downloafd a program named Belarc Advisor (www.belarc.com) and this will give you the exact information you need to correctly identify all you drivers.  XP will load most of the generic drivers you need, but some custom components shoudl runn the drivers supplied only by the manufacturer.

Thanks. I don't know about the computer. I wonder if it is worth the purchasing of Windows XP Pro to install on it or if computer ought to be trashed! I am afraid it may be nothing but trouble. It will not read floppies and it is brand new.
