Installing Dell distributed XP OS onto an IBM Thinkpad running Windows 98
Is it possible to install XP on a laptop computer using the Reinstallation CD supplied with a Dell computer. I have been searching the message boards and have not had any luck on my own.

The OEM OS furnished with any computer is licensed for use only on the computer with which it was sold. Additionally, Dell OEM copies of XP are keyed to a Dell BIOS and cannot be installed on a non-Dell system.
