Or, you can change the BIOS setting for the hdd to RAID/ATA.

The RAID drivers allow you to use the AHCI setting in the bios and allow you to make RAID on the fly.

The hard drive board for Dimension Desktops has some information about the 64bit SATA RAID drivers.
