Internet Explorer has encountered an error..

Question

I keep getting this 'Interent Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close' pop up window when i try to log on to the net. it is ususally just the first time. after i close it and try again, it usually works ok, but it is very annoying. the error message i clicked on gave me this info:  windows NT 5.1  iexplore.exe   modver: 1.0.0.2 . i have called tech support and they were no help, sent in an e-mail to dell, and i'm waiting for a reply. maybe someone out there can help me???

Sorry I don't have a solution because I have the same problem. I switched internet providers and they recommended using internet explorer and I keep getting error boxes too. I use a cable provider now and I was on aol. I got so fed up w/internet explorer I went back to aol but using the broadband for aol. Much better.
