Internet Explorer opens links in small window

Question

My new Vista (SP1) Inspiron 1525 is generally fine but I am stumped by the way Internet Explorer opens so often in a much too small window on many links and all right click opens, sometimes it even starts up this way from the OS.  I have tried the many suggestions to close the program different ways but none seem to work.  What is the way to control this behavior so IE opens in a window I can use?  One time someone tried to say that it was XP that had the problem with window size, but obviously that is not completely correct. Thank you.

Hello Wttomlinson,

I use Vista OS and on occasion experienced the same annoying problem. While searching this forum I found a solution here:

Searching further will reveal different versions of these same instructions. But I hope this version will work for you.
