Try this: Try resetting Internet Explorer settings, Open Control Panel > Internet
Options > Advanced (tab) > under " Reset Internet Explorer settings, click
"Reset". Not sure this is a sure fix, but worth a try.

Hi, I have Windows Vista and IE7. Everything worked fine but a couple of weeks ago a problem started occuring. IE7 works fine, but sometimes I try to close an IE7 window and it gives me a message "Internet Explorer has stopped working" followed by a second message that says "Internet Explorer is restarting". It only occurs when I close the window sometimes.
Does anyone else have this problem? Can someone help me out please? Thank you, I appreciate it.

I have a 3 month old Dell 1525 with vista premium, i have had endless problems with the machine closing internet explorer whilst i am typing text.
Message~ Internet explorer has stopped working..................then internet explorer is restarting, a nightmare as you loose all your work.
Dell tech did not manage a solution, so i went on my own & downloaded the most recent version of internet explorer (vista compatible) from the microsoft website.
Yes you've guessed it, it updated my version of IE and no repeat problems since.
So all you stressed out surfers get on the microsoft download page and fix ur laptops now!
