Ip Ban?

How can I IP ban other people from getting into my linksys router? I want it to ban every IP that tries to get in it besides my IP address, can someone tell me a step through step walkthrough on how to IP ban with a linksys router?

What do you mean "ban"?  "Get in it"?  Try the Networking forum.

how about you read the manual that came with your router?

if it came with no paper manual then it must be a digital manual that is likely located in the routers setup pages.

don't be lazy, learn for yourself.

AND

you are in the wrong forum.

generally speaking, if a WAN IP tries to contact your router, the traffic will be discarded -- if you have open ports, that's different -- but for me I can lists acceptable WAN IPs for any port I open.

If the original poster is still here, do this:

Disable the SSID broadcast

USE 128 bit WPA Encryption with a strong pass phrase

Use MAC filtering to filter out any other wireless device but your own from using the signal

However, wireless is not at this point 100% secure and can not be made so.
