Javascript problems

There's something wrong with my javascript. I can't open websites that use java. Links wouldn't work either. I've installed Microsoft VM and the Java Software from www.java.com. Yet, the problem persists.

you could try restoring the default settings in ie/tools/options/security/internet zone, and the default settings on the "advanced" tab, there.. are you using any ad-blockers? they can prevent java from running, sometimes..   also, make sure that you have the macromedia flash player installed..

are you using zone alarm firewall (or etrust's version of zone alarm, "ez firewall")? if you have the "privacy" features enabled in zone alarm, that will prevent many scripts from running so that, often, when you click links, they will not open a page..
