Jumps from running program to Desktop every 15 minutes?? What does that?

While running my programs I have noticed that my computer will minimize the program and return me to the desk top every 15 minutes exactly.  Does anyone know how i can find out what is causing this?  Terribly annoying and it causes some programs to crash.
