Thanks. I will go take a look at it. My only concern is the posted said that he followed those steps without installing KB943899. I do not have it installed. I may try the suggested updates and see if it helps.
I had the same problem on my Dell Inspiron 1520. I have found a solution (without uninstalling update KB943899). I did three manual updates after I installed KB943899:
