Locked out by Password

Question

Windows Platform 'Vista'   How do you reset a password? It ask for Drive F when you go to reset and says it is a removeable drive. I have all the disk but no disk or media drive for this. ???

Windows is asking for a password to get to the desktop?

or

Windows is asking for a password to access a removable drive?

or

Is the BIOS asking for a hard drive password to boot the system?
