Look at top of the screen where your Log-in Name appears.
Click on Preferences, then on Display Settings tab, scroll down to bottom & under Personal Privacy Settings, ensure you have Enable Private Messages check box enabled, click Save Changes.
Again looking at top of the screen, click on Private Messages (the envelope icon)
When DCF Messenger opens, click on Send A New Message tab, in the Send to box: type in one of the Moderator’s names (e.g. Dell-ChrisM), enter your query in the Note box, then click on Send Message at bottom of DCFM.
Second Edit:
After login, if anyone sends you a PM, DCFM will indicate X New Message(s)
(where X = 1, 2, etc.)
To read message(s), click on envelope icon, DCFM default opens to Inbox tab.
I replied to your P.M. and am sending you the original letter which explains the problem as I know you are busy with other members to help. Thanks again for your cooperation.
[I hope this is not inappropriate but I was advised to create a new post as replies had accumulated.
I have been a Dell Community Forum user for as long as I can remember, have received great support, made friends and suddenly encountered a complex communication problem with the forums. I am not techy but trying.
It began when I received, all at once, 5 emails from Dell C.F. It had to do with the fact that my address was being used - I panicked at the rapidity of the 5 messages, thought I was being intruded upon and clicked no hoping the, what I perceived to be an attack, would go away. Since then, Dell C. F. will not accept my address(permanently removed) and has barred me from registering. I now understand why. I had to use a friends email address but the disadvantages are obvious.
I really would appreciate some help so I can use my address and regain access to Dell Community Forums that I've enjoyed for years - from my ownaccount so I don't have to use another person's account. Had I not received 5 at once I would not have panicked, but do admit being at fault. This was hard to put into words so if I can clarify any of the content please just ask.
This is my wife's account but it is very awkward as forwards do not allow for opening links etc.- my sign in name was npd424. If you need further information please tell me.

Hi Changed2 (a.k.a. npd424)
Here we go again with replies – sorry but:
Rather than posting subject & hoping a Moderator will jump in?
You may do better using DCF Messenger to send a Moderator a PM – you should receive a reply?
Not sure if they can resurrect your previous alias & Silver status with 385 post as on 5/3/07?
Good Luck
