Microsoft-Other Hardware-HID Non-User Input Data Filter

How do I get to this update?  I don't see any way to get to optional updates in Windows Update and I'm having a heck of a time locating this update online.  Is this something that can be downloaded?

I'm asking because I, with many other people apparently, am having a problem with my screen saver not working when my Logitech EX110 wireless keyboard/mouse are plugged in (due to the receiver, not necessarily the keyboard or mouse) and this update is allegedly supposed to fix the problem (though it seems most users with this issue have MS products).

I've been dealing with this issue since I bought the set and have tried a multitude of things to no avail.  Logitech and Dell both say I need to contact Microsoft, but that's like trying to contact the President.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Jess

Jess,
Did you try this?

  1. Click on the Start Button and type in  windows update
  2. Click Check for updates.
  3. Locate the optional "Other hardware - HID - Non-User Input Data Filter" update and install it.

Yup.  I don't see anywhere that lets me choose optional updates.

At the Windows Update screen, click on View available updates.

What do you see there?

Nothing right now because it's up to date.

Maybe I'm not getting this option because I have Logitech stuff as opposed to Microsoft?  ???  I'm bewildered.
