I have tried the first part of your suggested solution which involved trying to set a different mail client and then re-doing the procedure and setting my preferred email client again and that did not work.
When I tried the regedit.exe new string value, I am unable to find the branch: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto. Can you help me with that?
Do you recommend me running the Registry Mechanic 5.2 that is freeware on your website? I would really love to try it to see if it stops these Outlook problems and other slow performance problems on our computer.
When I typed in "%ProgramFiles%\OutlookExpress\MSIMN.EXE"/REG I got a message saying it could not find that file. Don't know what to do next. Can you help??
