Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

I have recently been getting the following error message - which forces my internet explorer to close:

 

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime error!

Program: C:\Program files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

abnormal program termination

 

OK

 

I am forced to click on OK, or to close the window - and both close my internet explorer/internet connection.

 

I read in another forum that I should download and use the following tools:

Spybot search

Spyware Nuker 2004

NoAdware

 

I tried all three, and I still continue to get this annoying message.  Any suggestions?!?!
