Missing MSVCR71.dll file
I've been using Adobe Audition 3.0 for a couple of years. About a week ago, I attempted to launch the program. Received a window that tells me "The program can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem."
Don't have the original disc. Anyone know how I can download and install this missing file?
Thanks.

Hi pfoole2012,
Welcome to the Community.
Please download the MSVCR71.dll from the link mentioned below:
http://bit.ly/3REWa2
Select download zip file at the bottom.
Once the file is downloaded, unzip the file on the desktop.
Now copy and paste the file in the locations mentioned below:
1. C:\Windows\System32
2. C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ (If you are using 64 bit operating system)
3. Open Adobe Audition 3.0
If the problem persists, try the following steps:
1. Select Start and type CMD and press Enter
2. Type regsvr32 msvcr71.dll and press Enter
Hope it helps.
Thanks & Regards

You are generally right. Another good solution will be reinstalling Microsoft Visual .net, because MSVCR71.dll is a part of it. You can just download this file from http://fix4dll.com/msvcr71_dll
