Missing Windows Update service from service.msc
Problem: The “Windows Update” service is missing from “services.msc”.
Resolution: Reloading the “Windows Update” service into “services.msc” from a Win7 disc
Reason for Problem: Sometime in the last quarter of 2012 the computer was infected by a malware named Zero Access. I had McAfee remove the infestation but I did not know that one of the problems caused by this malware was the removal of “Windows Update” service.
Question: I did not receive a Win7 disc with the computer. How do I reload this service?

I suggest you to restore the system to the factory settings and check if the Windows Updates service works properly. Please backup important data and following the steps provided in the link below by selecting Windows 7:
