Each and every Blu-Ray/DVD/CD device I have ever seen has both an eject button on the device itself and a manual eject hole, whic is used to extract a stuck disk.   You unbend a paper clip (metal) and push it into the hole.  The disk will be forced out.  That is the purpose of the hole.

Hi,

Please confirm if you are using the Eject button on the keyboard?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Restart the Computer and attempt to eject the disc.
2. Attempt to eject the CD In the System Setup (BIOS).
3.If the the disc didnot not eject in BIOS, might be the hardware is not working properly.
4.Check if the drive gets detected in BIOS. Refer to the picture below:

Please reply with the results.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Priyanka,

Yes I am using the eject button the keyboard. Please note eject is working fine normally but not when I am re-imaging.

All hardware and configurations are fine. When I use factory setting disc, it automatically ejects and ask to insert the other but that is not the case while re-imaging.

Hi,

Please confirm if you are able to load the system to Windows. If yes, I would recommend you to update the BIOS.

Before updating the BIOS, check the present version and if it is not the latest one, update it from Dell’s support site. The latest BIOS is A12. You may use the link below:

http://dell.to/T2hKYc

Once you are on this website, insert the system Service Tag and choose Operating System. Select BIOS and update it to the recent one.

Plug your computer to a good, working UPS before you update the BIOS. If you experience a loss of AC power or a significant voltage sag/spike during the BIOS flash, you will either have to buy a new BIOS chip or buy a new motherboard.

Please reply with the findings.

Thanks and Regards
