My Windows XP keeps shutting down and restarting....help!

Since yesterday, everytime I or my parents login to our desktops we get a message that says,

"DLL Installization Failed: "     " The application failed to initialize because the windows station is shutting down."

And in the "     " have been the programs: Tvm.exe, AST.exe, m168.tmp, and websearch.exe. There have been more, but I don't remember what they were. Once this message comes up, Windows shuts down and restarts without me even clicking or touching anything.  This is only happening to mine and my parents desktops, my brother's works perfectly fine.  If anyone could tell me what's wrong and how to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ok I now have Ad-Aware and scanned the computer and it says there are 482 items that are either data miner, malware, or misc. So what do I do with them now?

Sounds like a corrupted file.  Have you tried a repair installation?

Tvm.exe, AST.exe, and websearch.exe are adware according to a Google search. Do you have Ad-Aware on your computers? If not you could download Ad-Aware, update it, and then run a scan for spyware. Ad-Aware can eliminate these from your computer. You can get the program here:

You might also have to run the software several times to get all of that off your computer.  You also should make sure the software is updated prior to running it.  I have been using the software on two computers for over three years, and have never had to replace anything Ad-aware suggested needed removal, but the quarantine function will protect you in case. Here is a link to the Support forum in case you have questions.

I also run Spybot S & D in conjuction with Ad-aware, and this is the link to it:   http://www.safer-networking.org/

I believe the default settings for Ad-Aware will quarantine these items on the off chance you need to restore something back. Other than that, after the scan, continue on and have Ad-Aware remove these items. The block on the left would have to be checked for removal of the item. I would make sure the items are put in Quarantine just to be on the safe side.
