My mic doesn't work. Any ideas besides mute?

I can't get my mic to work.  I can hear people but they can't hear me.  No sound at all.  Help besides mute button.

Probably a short....mic wires are usually tiny...they break easy. Same thing happened to me. I have a Skype headset and the mic doesn't work. Pluged in an older mic and works great.

Happens all the time.   ALL THE TIME!   Usually ends up with me getting a brand new mic. I wud say that i spent more money mics then any other accessories for my computer. :smileyvery-happy:
