I took possession of my brand new Dell Studio XPS last Wednesday. I've been trying to register it for warranty purposes BUT the warranty page (and the download page) don't recognise my service tag number. Which also means I can't log a service request by eMail 😞
I don't have a problem with the PC and I really don't want to ring technical support for a non technical problem but I do want to register my PC for warranty purposes and to check for driver downloads.
Sometimes it takes a week or so to get the service tag number into the system and recognized. It is not supposed to take that long but we have seen cases where it did. Give it a week and then see if it's recognized. If not you will have to call Dell. We can't help you on here as we are users helping users on this forum.
