NVIDIA Corporation driver update for NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller
whenever i install this driver update, the "safely remove hardware" icon appears in the quick launch. if i click it i get the window which shows my hard drive and 2 dvd drives as external hardware.
does any one know a fix? or should i just not install this "optional" driver update?
Thanks,
of course the update does not show up in "installed updates" so how do i remove it now? do i have to restore?

Hi
The most common fix is to download the driver from Dell !
I ran into the same thing a few months ago i just left it with the new nvidia driver installed !
But you can go back to the old driver or role back to it in device manager !
The only problem you will have is if you leave the new driver there and make the mistake of
removing your DVD drives you will have to reboot your computer to get them back !
It will not let you remove the internal hard drives it will say they are in use !
Read the link above you ill find a little info there.
Good Luck
