Last entry in Masterlog was 2 months back. Have also checked SFC log for anything suspicious, but nothing Norton related other than AV defs. updates. Could reinstall, but am doubtful it would work properly without being updated thru Liveupdate and since it's 2002........
Open your SystemWorks and click on the
Options, then Norton CleanSweep.
In the CleanSweep dialog find the
View tab, and then click on the
View Master Log.
See if there is anything helpful in the Master Log that will suggest what has caused the invalid page fault.
It then may be prudent to use a combination of saving the Old Master Log, of clearing it, and then of viewing several new logs over repeated sweeps in order to see if there is anything repetitious.

I do not suppose there is anything like a detail with that error?
"Have also checked SFC log for anything suspicious, but nothing Norton related other than AV defs. updates."
Is it possible that the AV defs. updates coincides with the cessation of entries in the CleanSweep over two months ago?
Also, have you corrected for everything in SFC? And have you run spyware/malware removal tools to see if there is a suspicious registry entry that could cause this failure?
When you run CleanSweep, there are four categories of running:
System Control Information
System-wide Software
User Profiles
User-specific Software....
Whenever CleanSweep is in operation, I can cause it to cease at "user profiles" each time if I attempt, at the same time, to run other software. See which one of the four categories contains your failure.
Also, try running the Norton WinDoctor to see if it finds any errors in Windows. Then try the Disk Doctor. Both of these programs have shown error messages on my screen associated with CleanSweep in the past.
Basically, do a complete and thorough cleaning, repairing and inspection of your harddrive using every available tool that you have. Reboot continually throughout each step in the process. As a final step, scan your disk with Windows for errors (repair anything automatically) and defrag. Then defrag a second time with Norton Speed Disk and select the "optimize registry" as your last step. When it returns from reboot, shutdown and enter Safe Mode and try CleanSweep.
The CleanSweep information at Symantec implies that you can reinstall CleanSweep on top of itself; so you might consider this as a last attempt to correct for the problem.

Go to the Symantec Product Update page and check for updates for your version of CleanSweep. Because of that entry in the System File Checker, it leads me to belief that your CS32 failure is associated with one of the Norton Liveupdate files. However I think you could try reinstalling the old 2002 CleanSweep with your CD. Or go into your SystemWorks folder and locate the CleanSweep subfolder. Then, inside, look for a Readme file for uninstallation/reinstallation instructions.

Don't use the reg sweep too often, but the last time I did the system timed out and went into standby because I didn't get back to it when it finished or if it didn't finsh, it errored.Impossible to put my finger on a time frame as to when it "happened" as I don't use it real often.
Yes, SFC all corrected and no suspicious entries in registry according to AdAware
The error takes place in the first, Control Information, area.
My 2002 Cleansweep is outdated and updates are no longer available thru Symantec.I only have the Cleansweep program, not the whole Utility package with Norton WinDoctor and Disk Doctor.
I appreciate your interest in my problem and most probably will try the install/uninstall , knowing I won't be able to get any updates. I don't recall if there were any. Hope the info I've given you might be of some help!
Try this: Go back into the CleanSweep
options and locate the
Smart Sweep/Internet Sweep tab. Make certain that Smart Sweep and Internet Sweep are NOT ACTIVE during a Clean Sweep registry run--that is, locate the checkbox for same and "turn them off".
If this does not work, then I too would try the uninstall/reinstall procedure using the CleanSweep CD.
Well, good luck. Make sure that you read that Readme file on the subject of CleanSweep and reinstallation "on top of itself". As I recall, it has a few things to say about Internet Sweep and Smart Sweep, as well as several other things.
Was reading how Csinject is necessary for Cleansweep to run properly so I went into Explorer and started Csinject.exe before starting Cleansweep, then started Cleansweep, started Registry Sweep, it ran all the way thru, closed it, Cold booted windows and now the problem seems to have gone away as Cleansweep Registry Sweep now runs from start to finish........Yeah!
