Not able to burn data or audio using Windows XP Wizard and External CD-RW

Hello,
Up until recently I was able to use the Cd-burning Wizard through Windows XP to burn both audio and data on Cds using an external Cd-rw drive; however, the Wizard now fails to do so.  I am able to burn audio using a trial version of the program MusicMatch that came with my computer successfully, but not with the program, Nero, that came with the burner.  From what I have gathered on Microsoft.com in the Windows Media webpage, the problem may have occured because of the installation of Service Pack 2.  I would like to continue using the Cd-Burning Wizard provided through Windows Xp to burn Cds, and would appreciate any suggestions to correct my problem.  Thank you.

I'm not sure what your problem is but if you have installed INCD with the Nero software this might be the problem. I have Nero but don't use INCD. Go to My Computer and rightclick the burner go to properties>burner. Enable it.
I got rid of INCD. I rarely used packet writing so it was just extra garbage plus I think it was freezing the drive so I couldn't eject my CD's. I have Nero 6 Ultra Edition on two machines and can use Windows to move the files if I want.

I have this same problem, except with an internal DVD+RW drive. I was able to write cd's and dvd's with the WinXP wizard before I installed SP2, but after it just won't do it. I can still burn with third party programs like Nero. I've had 2 drives now since I installed SP2, the first was a NEC-2100A DVD+RW (DVD+R @ 8X), and the second was a NEC-3520A DVD+-RW DL (DVD+R @ 16X). I've had the same problem with both drives, but since I realy only use Nero now, its not realy a problem anymore.
