Outlook Express - How can I disable control key shortcuts?

In Outlook Express, sometimes I have spent a long time carefully composing an important email; then crazy things happen.  Either several new empty messages pop up, or the message gets all selected and I can't do any editing, or the message completely disappears and I want to smash the computer, or other strange things.  I expect it's that I occasionally hit the control key when aiming for the shift key and activate some shortcut key.  Can I turn off all those shortcut keys?  I'd gladly have to use the drop-down menus to avoid the catastrophies.   P.S. It's Outlook Express 6. Message Edited by JPA123 on 12-03-2007 04:56 PM

You can avoid this by typing your long complicated Emails in Word and either sending them as an attachment or copy/paste the messages into Outlook Express.
