I just got my new computer and set up my email.

I sent and email and wanted to spell check, the spell check icon was grayed out.  I went to tools and the f7 spelling option is grayed out.  I looked in options and there is no tab for spelling.

I can not find anywhere where to turn on the spell check.

can someone help.

thanks,

Using the Advanced Forum Search on the bottom of this page, you can quite easily find the answer to this often asked question.

With WordPerfect, the OE spell check does not work.  You can google for freeware packages you can try.

Hi, The problem is because you do not have Microsoft Word.  Download this free program.  http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952

Thanks, for your information.  I wasn't aware that outlook express was tied in with Microsoft word.

Why doesn't dell offer Microsoft word?  I did not see any option for Microsoft word.

You would think it would come automatically since the system runs off Microsoft Windows.

thanks for your help.

Dell does offer Word, you bought Word Perfect.  It does not come automatically, Windows is the operating system, Word is an application program.

Must be the Ohio State connection that has you confused :smileyvery-happy:
