PC won't boot up with printer turned on

I have recently hooked up a new HP all in one printer, now when I boot  up I have to have the printer turned off, otherwise my PC won't boot up. Any suggestions on what to do?

You don't say which model computer you have, so I can't give you detailed information.  Depending on the model, you have to go into the BIOS setup program and either set the legacy USB option to Disabled or set it to No Boot.

:)

I turn on my Epson C84 only when I need to print (a page or two once a year).

Check Event Viewer (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer) for possible errors.
Check Device Manager for unknown/improperly installed devices. Install/update drivers if needed.

If not, please comeback with more information.

Hit the F2 key immediately after you start the computer.
