PCI status test 'execution error'

Question

I'm new here and apologize if this is the wrong board. If wrong board, perhaps someone can direct me appropriately.   Problem: can't set power options: Path = Control panel/Performance and maintenance/Power Options----at Power Schemes tab I have no selection in Power schemes field and rest of fields are grayed out. I've run DELL PC checkup and all passed except 'PCI Status Test'=execution error.   Don't know if this is related to problem, but it's all I know, I'm quite the novice.   System: DELL Dimension B110 w/15' LCD, XP-SP2, HomeEdition, just out of warranty (of course)   My e-mail        cato0212@iowatelecom.net        Plse include DELL in subject line if you e-mail me. I run the pc checkup from Dell and everything passes except that I get this message: "PCI Status Test "Execution Erro".

Of course my warranty is up as well and I am also having monitor flickering problems!
