Thanks

When you try to sync, it cannot find the palm device.  The software instruction say that it does not support Media Center, Tablet or 64bit versions of windows.  This is a problem considering how prevalent Media Center is becomming.

I also have a Palm Treo 650 and XP Media Center 2005. I'm not able to "hotsync". During Cingular/Palm Treo 650 software download I had no problem until I was asked to "hotsync". It is not reading any of the "COM1, 2 or 3 ports" as described under "set-up" in the instructions while troubleshooting. I've called Palm they told me to call Dell, Dell told me to call Microsoft, Microsoft wants to charge me for telephone software support. Yet everywhere I look there is no support for XP Media Center 2005, until I just read your e-mail regarding your palm treo and MCE2004?  Does ANYONE know how I can fix this problem?  Thank you:)

Palm's website states clearly that their products are not supported on MCE :
http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=77,E=0000000000310331556,K=9434,Sxi=11,useTemplate=Case.tem,CASE=37448

That said, "not supported" may not equate with "doesn't work". In the link above see the "more info" link on the possibility of using older hotsynch platforms. My 6 year old Palm and old hotsynch program work in MCE 2005 without any problem. With a new Palm, YMMV.
