PerfDisk Event 2001
I frequently check event viewer just to make sure everything is working properly and recently I started receiving the following event:
Source: PerfDisk - Category:None - Event: 2001
When selecting the event I get the following message:
Unable to read the disk performance information from the system. Disk performance counters must be enabled for at least one physical or logical volume for these counters to work. Disk performance counters can be enabled by using the Hardware Device Manager property pages. Status code returned is data DWORD 0.
I dug around the Device Manager but could find no relevant place to make changes and the Microsoft link provided no additional information.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
I had the same error you have,i also went to device manager and could not find any information on that error. I have windows xp home i ran a repair install of windows xp cause of other problems but after the install the error was no longer found in the event viewer. I did not encounter any problems with the repair install except you lose all your windows updates along with the service packs.
