Which model computer do you have? If you check the back of the computer tower when the messge is on the screen, what do the 4 diagnostic lights tell you?
I have a Dimension 8200. The lights on the back of the monitor that say A, B, C, and D light up when the message goes on the sceen. All are green except for D.
Is that the info you needed? If so, what does it mean?
If you get error message "Play & Plug Configuration Error" at post and get f1 to retry f2 to enter setup, Enter system bios,highlight system event log,hit enter and highlight clear event log and hit enter. Change report keyboard error to do not report. And that should resolve the issue -- B Roy
