Please help with Windows XP Classic Phone Tools program
Is there any way to make it answer ONLY incoming faxes and NOT pick up if it is a voice call? We do not want it to act as an answering machine. Just pick up faxes.
If there is not, is there a reliable shareware program someone could recommend that works well with XP? We want all of our faxes to be picked up through this computer, and we want to be able to save those faxes - ideally in PDF format. Any ideas?

The call has to be answered before one (anything) can find out if it is a fax or a voice call. I did at one time have a box (micronetwork manager) that intercepted calls and routed them to either a fax machine or a phone, depending on what it heard, but it was not very reliable. I have not tried it with the PC, though in principle I suppose such a device could be used to send to the modem instead of a fax machine if it was a fax and to a (external) telephone for voice calls.
I do not know whether there is any software available that could accomplish this, I can only suggest that you search the web.
