Problems printing certain types of docs
I have a network with 16 computers on it. On this network I have one community printer connected. All of the computers on this network can print docs without a problem except one. On that 1 computer, which is only about 1 year old, Dimension 3100 with 504MB RAM, it will print out basic word or notepad docs and even some simple excel docs. However, once you try to start printing out anything more complex it prints out a page that says:
Internal Error - False
Position : 0x424152f
System : H6FW/xl_image
Line : 476
Version : QPDL 1.24 02-27-2004
I have checked the memory, tried closing down all other applications except the 1 that I am printing, uninstalling and re-installing the printer drivers, etc... So far I have not been able to resolve the issue. Any suggestions, ideas???

Dominicebbtide,
Apparently, this is caused by a postscript driver. See (translated version) the following page: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.pcwelt.de/forum/drucker/148668-dell-1600n-netzwerkdrucker-mit-problemen.html&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3DVersion%2B:%2BQPDL%2B1.24%2B02-27-2004%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG

Dominicebbtide,
Sorry about the translation. What the person in the aforementionned post was saying was that she solved the problem by NOT using the Postscript driver. Also, that German post was in reference to a Dell 1600N network printer. What printer are you using?
I have seen errors similar to the one you described occur when printing Adobe Acrobat PDF documents with graphics at 1200 dpi.
You say the error began about 11/2 weeks ago. By chance did you upgrade your Adobe Acrobat Reader?

Dominicebbtide,
So far, I can't find much to help you. Seems like numerous Dell1600N and Samsung SCX-4100 printers have similar problems. One Samsung owner stated that installing the scan driver fixed the problem for him. A Dell owner noted this post regarding remote installation of network drivers: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?docid=DCED73C23A5D2197E030A68F27282CDE&c=us&l=en&s=dhs Dell suggests installing the driver from the CD only.
Of course, none of these quite explain why your system suddenly went to printing weirdly. Just a thought, but have you considered changing the hub port to which the problem machine is connected?
You've probably already downloaded the 1600N driver update, but here it is:
Finally, have you considered using System Restore to restore your system to a date prior to the problem's occurrence?
