Latter versions of the Dell Solution Center will no longer work with SP2.  Since this issue was discovered, most users have opted to follow the suggestions from Dell and just uninstall the program.

I do not believe the other issue is related to the SP2 upgrade.  You may wish to upgrade your Macromedia Flash Player software and try it again.

Thanks Dan,

Understood about the Dell Solution Center. Much appreciated!

But I think the other issue about the Learn XP program does have to do with the SP2 upgrade because before the SP2 upgrade it worked fine, not anymore after the SP2 upgrade. Do you still have a remedie for this? To fix this file. I did uninstall the Flash Player and upgraded it to the newest version; but I still received this missing file warning. I am wondering what the cause could be then.

Thanks already!

Regards,

Gant.

It seems the version installed on new computers is loaded at the factory and is not contained on the CD provided with your computer. This is explained in this Dell Knowledge Base article which also provides information on how to access the same information through other avenues. If the program is indeed "kaput", it can be removed through the Add and Remove Programs applet.

Before removing it though, try to access the program through your Programs list just to be sure something hasn't wigged out the shortcut on the Desktop.  If it does run when accessing through Programs, just delete the existing icon and create a new one.

I forgot to mention I am able to access the program via the icon but everytime i still do get this
message i am missing this file. Which i find annoying everytime i open program. The program
does work fine furthermore. Do you know otherwise a trick or something to avoid getting this
warning-message about this file or of course to fix/solve this problem?

Thanks.
