Problems with norton internet security

I have Norton Internet Security 2002 (my subscription ends in 5/2004). For some reason I cannot launch it. When I try to open it (either thru the shortcut or thru the startup menu) it looks like it will work and then absolutely nothing happens.

I tried putting the disk in and that didn't work either. I'm so frustrated and my computer is unprotected. The norton anti-virus portion is working however.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Paula,
You're replying to a message that was originally posted in 2003.  I suspect the person with the problem has long ago found another solution.
 
While eAcceleration (the makers of Stop Sign) have recently cleaned up their act, the product was widely posted all over the internet in 2002-2003 to install adware, actively disable competing products, and install other malware without the PC owners knowledge.  In 2004, the company reportedly reorganized and stopped these practices.  However, reviews appear to say it's still not a very highly rated product, being slow, missing some virii, and more prone to false positives than other products.  Feel free to do a Google search to confirm for yourself.

Go into control panel and delete the anti norton program, and them reboot and reinstall it. And myself I have used Norton for 5 yrs. but will never use it again. I just got the Stop sign from a tv add. It is awesome, It will clean all your files and If you got any virus's It will delete them for you. So easy. It is listed under Stop Sign or Veloz. Good luck
