Try uninstalling it via ControlPanel/AddRemove and reinstalling it.  Kip

Hi,
I was just browsing through looking for info about this particular problem amof, and came across this thread by way of a search. I couldn't resist joining because the same thing happened to me just two days ago (2/3/05) irt my QV4.

Mmm, for some reason QV was no longer in my Add/Remove Program file; I am almost positive it used to be there. I tried deleting the folder and files manually and reinstalling the program. I probably missed some files, because it did not work for me. Did the reinstall work for you, King James? If it did, perhaps we have two different base problems that just happened to have the same effect.

I have just run Adaware a couple of times, removing some things that had no business being on my comp (I was very conservative in what I removed). Also ran HijackThis but removed only cookies. .. Whoops I think I did remove something else... not positive but think it was MyBar or something like that. Wonder if the problem with QV4 could be related to any of that.

Ah well... any info anyone might post here irt this would be appreciated (although not too sure this is the thread or forum in which to continue this???). Still, I wait to hear good news from someone while I also wait to hear from Parsons.

Thanks,
Leighla
