Questions on E1505 notebook with vista

I need to know how to go about finding out what type of video card I have on my computer.  It was given to me as a gift for graduation and my family built it for me so I have no idea what graphics card they put in it.  I also need to know if it is a PCI Express or other connection.  I need and ATI or an nVidia graphics card installed so I was looking for suggestions on a cheap one and if I would be able to install it myself.  Please let me know.  Thank you.

The E1505 is definately PCIe.  Now...to figure out what card you have...click on Computer...right click...choose properties and choose device manager.  In Device Manager...look for Display adapters.  If it's an ATI x1400 or Nvidia GeForce Go 7300...you're good to go.  If it's Intel graphics...you cannot replace it...soldered to the motherboard.

...or you can download and install Belarc Advisor and this little program will create a total inventory of your system to include installed hardware and software with the appropriate Serial Numbers.

Hmm.  So there is no way I can get the Nvidia graphics card at all if I have the Intel one?  Like if I send it to Dell could they put in a new one?

Like, you'd have to ask Dell.
